The Gambia Financial Reporting Oversight Board (FROB) participated in the 4 day validation workshop of quality assurance review guidelines and methodologies based on International System of Quality Management

The Gambia Financial Reporting Oversight Board (FROB) participated in the 4 day validation workshop of quality assurance review guidelines and methodologies based on International System of Quality Management (ISQM 1 and 2) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA 220) organised by the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), and hosted by Accounting Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE). The event was graced by leaders of Audit Regulators and Professional Accountancy Organisations (PAOs) from over 25 African countries in validating the proposed guidelines and methodologies in standardizing quality assurance reviews in the continent.



The workshop also offered the FROB a platform to build new networks in the regulatory and PAO sphere in the continent. The FROB aim to leverage on these new guidelines and networks in advancing robust System of Quality Management (SOQM) in the local audit practices, with the aim of providing effective oversight and re-enforcing credibility financial reporting. 


This collaborative effort among the regulatory leaders and PAOs demonstrates a unified commitment to elevating the standards of quality assurance reviews in the continent and aligning to global standards.
